I have an Nvidia GeForce card and DirectX 9. When i load the game, nothing happens. But when i click on any of the lots there it zooms down and then stalls. Even without me touching it after pressing on one of the lots in the World Map. I have the update (1.1) and i have a 2.1 Ghz processor. Thanks for helping!

Does it happen if you run it in 640x480x16 with texture quality set to very low?

I've checked. It dosen't work, i even started the level again and it's still crashing!!! Please HELP!!!!!!

It's not working and i can't pass the level (Top of Heaps) I don't have a clue what's causing it but i need help now! PLEASE HELP

Are you using some sort of no-cd fix on the game .exe?

If you are , then that might explain the crashing. If the no-cd fix isn't 100% safe, the protection may still be enabled in places and as a result the game will kick in several measures to ensure that.

That aside, did you change the configuration of your computer at all?

Have you ensured you do have the very latest graphics drivers for your GeForce card?

Does it only happen on this one particular level?

Have you downloaded/edited any scripts for the game?

Have you tried just doing a complete reinstall of the game and the patch?

Nope, I haven't used fixes, scripts or anything and yep, i have all the latest updates. I will re-install soon and start fresh. And i'm nearly sure it is just that level. Thanks.

P.S- I will probably be quite busy the next 2 of weeks due to exams and Christmas and stuff so i probably won't be posting much or editing my site much. I'll probably get back into playing Vega$ and posting and editing once I'm off school for Christmas. See you then!!

Firstly - fantastic game - any more campains soon??

I am having the same problem - Game for no reason crashes to desktop. I have completed the game (what a let down - I didn't even have to get to day 6 in the final). I have tried re-installing with patch, re-installing without patch. I am having no joy. Have turned off virus protection have closed everything down in Task Manager - can't find problem. I have even tried it in compatibility mode.

Nothing specific is going on in game at this point. Doesn't normally happen unless played for over at least an hour may even be two - I have been getting a bit addicted - 3 or 4am finishing on PC - into work @ 8

Have tried resolutions from lowest with no detail to highest with full detail.

I have Win XP, Pentium 4 2.66Ghz, 512mb Ram, 80gb Hard Drive, Nvidia Geforce4 MX. All latest drivers and latest DirectX.

Please advise. As I want to now go in under sandbox and design a fantastic casino - during campains just chucked stuff in.

It does sound unusual that this is happening given what you have said. Does this occur on any level? Typically anyone who does have an issue, has it before/just after the lancher.

Does this happen in sandbox?

I assume you haven't customized any scripts?

Does it occur if you play with the sound off? (In the configuration launcher uncheck the enable sound )..

Which Nvidia driver are you using?

And i assume you don't have a problem with any other recent 3D titles?

I've had similar problems, out of the blue, the game crashes - exiting and returning to desktop, when I started the game again (after the long loading times), it asks I want to use safe game mode. I was very annoyed, as I hadn't saved the game, and lost it! Then after exiting the game, my computer crashed!

I haven't yet downloaded the patch - how do you do this (where to save it etc.)?

Hi Planet,

What graphics card do you have?

Have you read the General Game FAQ in the Support section for further help there?

When you click on the link for the patch, select 'Save' and put it in a temporary folder or in the root of your your hard-drive. Once it has downloaded, goto where you saved it and then double-click it, it should self-extract and update the game automatically for you.

I suspect the patch won't fix the issue you describe as we weren't having these problems or were informed about them at that time. The problem could be a number of things, first port of call is updating drivers, second port of call is try the game on some low settings with/without sound to see if that helps.

Make sure you aren't experiencing issues with any other recent 3d games. Also try a complete reinstall of the game, i know one person who did this and resolved their crash bizarrely enough.

Make sure you don't have any non-critical background tasks running. Virus checkers should ideally be turned off aswell before running the game.
