Possibly for a future patch or sequel, how about bigger and taller buildings, I think if the buildings were made to be even bigger then they are now, it would make it feel even more like Vegas.
Maybe buildings as big as the ones in this pic here , not that the current buildings are not big/tall enough, I'm just suggesting what could make it look slightly better .

(BTW the pic above is of Las Vegas, the view you have got is looking down the strip)
Another little suggestion...make the surrounding area of the strip (the areas with grey ground and greyish buildings, cover a larger area, and possibly have a few large buildings at downtown Vegas that you can only just see from your lots

When I first seen the game, I thought the buildings would be really small, then when I tried the game, I was impressed by the huge casinos and hotels.
Though what knd of buildings could you possibly have that big, if at all? Hmm, what about an office block or a Large buisness Center which could bring in money to your account, and make the game more authentic, not that it isn't authentic already!
The game would have been good without themes, I never really thought there would be all those cool themes like Jurassic or Indian or whatever, but it has 10 different themes, and that makes the game have a lot more replay value (i.e to try missions again) because you can try with a different theme to see what people it brings along. And there cool looking too and make each lot unique and not all the same.

I think the buildings are big enough. I guess what I'd really like would be more choice of maps for the sandbox mode, there arent enough maps with big lots and competing casinos.

The buildings are small(er) because you have so many of them. Real Vegas casinos are one building with everything (Hotel, Casino, shopping, etc) inside of them. I think it would be great if they could do this in VT2 (if there is one). Have one huge building. You'd no longer layout much outside, other than decoration and stuff. But inside you'd layout what went where (restaurants, theaters, etc). And the inside would dictate the outside. So a buffet inside the theater would have a sign at the correct place outside the theater. I think in remember seeing this when I was in Vegas (the Cheesecake Factory in Caesar's Palace having a sign outside the building with an entrance right to the restaurant).

It is important for a casino to spend just as much as it does on the outside as it does the inside

I think they could just make the overall scope of the gameplay bigger. If not in the scenarios then in sandbox mode. Yes it may be a lag on slow computers, that's going to be a problem. But we could have bigger lots, with huge buildings sized close to those in the pic I posted. Or maybe even have some Vega$ landmarks, that'd be cool.
Like if you save up enough money, or do well enough in a level. Then you could unlock and build the Mirage Hotel, or MGM Hotel, or the Luxor Pyramid Hotel thingy. Can't think of any other famous Vegas buildings at the mo...
