Hi jarvis, i hope we can put up some hints and tips on this site sometime soon but for now:

Make sure your buildings haven't broken down (denoted by a spanner above them)

Ensure there is a valid path from the buildings entrance to the rest of the lot.

Check peoples thoughts out to see what they are after or look a the desires above their heads. By supplying the other things that they want you will keep them on your lot for longer which is a good thing. Remember to use upgrades and also if a place supplies drink for example, check the detailed building info to see who it may typically appeal to. Not everybody who wants drink wants the Bar, the kids for example will only use the Soda bar as an example.

Check the reputations of your buildings by using the viewfilters or by selecting them, if its low you may need to drop your prices...the reputation will tend back towards average over time but this is quite slow.

Use lots of advertising to boost your 'appeal' to the guests who are considering which lot to goto. There are other places selling attractions aswell and they maybe more appealing for one reason or another.

Use scenery items to beautify, calm the area. Again use the view filters to check the noise, smell, beauty etc out. Location of objects makes a big difference in this game, i.e. sticking a power generator or a toilet near a restaurant isn't a good idea in general. The guests happiness will affect the reputation of the object and eventually the lot they use so keeping them happy will feedback into getting more guys in.

Use themed pavement, grass, water to boost appeal further. Tarmac, standard pavement although cheap wont give you many benefits.

Hope that helps
regards

All paths all connected, the whole patch lawned then covered with statues, trees and signs, maintenance staff on hand for breakdown, but still they don't visit ?

even tried placing entertainers next to attract to pull customers in, have checked influence screen, mostly seems very good but still no joy
