Hi,
Sorry for my english, but I'm, spanish.
I Like VegasMAKEITBIG, but the game take about 15 minutes to load.

I Have the latest drivers for my video card and sound.
I have windows XP (with SP1), 512 MB RAM, ATI RADEON 9200 with 128 MB, Directx 9.0b.

That is also the same for me. It takes about 10 minutes on my computer too.

It has to load a lot of things, so I'm not surprised. You could try and close other programs before you start. (like Anti-virus, Quicktime and things)

Thank you, beavious. I understand your message and I think that the game isn't optimized for win xp ( or for SP1).
I hope Simon Rope tell us what about this.

I have the same issue it is normal for the game to take 10 minutes to load as there is a hell of a lot of objects ect to warm up.

Basically do what the bevious has said make sure you dont have windows doing anything else otherwise the program will strain and you dont want that

The big issue with loading a game is the loading /decompressing of textures.
On the system i worked on - it was 2Ghz, 512Mb Ram and a Geforce 2 mx. This actually ran ok, certainly quicker than 10 mins but i had to keep the texture detail (in the configuration menu before the game starts to low/medium).
The other thing as beavious states is keep your virus checker disabled when running the game otherwise it will kill the loading time.
Other than that, the usual defragging etc applies aswell.

There are other performance enhancements that could be done but it'd require another update to the game.

A new patch will most likely be needed for the new exchange anyway's so maybe you could sneak your updates in that patch aswell or any other future patch for that matter. Kill 2 birds with the one stone
