Hi,
I'm not sure of the layout of your lot, casino etc.
For the interior just make sure you have a good spread of tables, slots and make sure you vary the bet ranges a little otherwise you're only going to appeal to a select number of people in general.
Don't build up too quick if the sales arent coming in (and you're not sure when they're likely to come).
As you lay down more objects you'll increase your power/water/wage running costs. You can alleviate the power/water by building generators/water plants away from your popular areas (as they emit a lot of noise etc)..
Also try a carpark, its a good way of getting people onto your lot fairly quickly.
Try some upgrades aswell on buildings and drop the prices. Remember if the reputation is poor then there will in general be less chance of people coming to the building/lot (although there will always be a chance) - beautify the area a lot so people to keep people happier.
Don't forget to look at the detailed building information for clues/ideas on how the building functions. You can find this by either rightclicking when in build mode or by selecting the graph button for the building and hitting the i+ button on the left of the graph panel.
Also, and i'm not sure this is something that people have tried people have tried yet but you can go into sandbox, build the casino you typically want, save it off, then when you come back into the scenario it'll be available for placement. It has to be the same theme / size that you build obviously.
This will avoid the game running away with you if you want to put down a casino and do other stuff, alternatively just pause the game and take your time sorting the issues out, it'll function as normal.
regards

Many thanks ropes, i've as yet not suceeded in beating this level yet, but i will give it another try tomorrow, i remember having the same troubles in an early level of monopoly tycoon so i'll keep having a go until i crack it!!!
It's an outstanding game with excellent graphic quality to they could have made that level easier though!!!
Keep up the good work.

I found that getting your casino to cater to just the rich types works pretty well at the start. First thing - PAUSE the game!
Build a pleasant surrounding area, with a roulette, craps, baccarat and 5 card stud tables. If you have the cash, add in a poker or the like table too. Make sure it is well lit and there are some nice scenery enhancers dotted about. Then whack the minimum bet up pretty high, though not necessarily the top. Put the house edge to high, unpause and watch the money roll in.
Be warned that your cash will fluctuate quite dramatically at the start, but will soon shoot up. I also find having all your tables on high edge is not sustainable, so be prepared to bring some of them down again once you have a nice bank balance.
Once you have a good amount of cash, then start putting in slots, video poker and betting tables for the smaller spender.
Hope this helps.

I was playing this level last night and i managed to make the £4000 profit after building a medium sized casino and then completed the other objective which is spend 8k on entertainment.
But i can't seem to do the final two objectives which is to get the retired basketball star to come into my casino and then do 500 entertainment sales by the end of day 5. He came to my large hotel which i made and styed the night but then he went straight to my competitors casino instead of mine. I am not surprised as his is a large casino and it has about 4 million things in it which there is no way i could afford. Computer obviously cheating !!!
The 500 entertainment sales objective seems really hard as well as i built a cinema, topless review and circus but get very few visitors and then run out of money.
Any ideas ???

When I had to get the 500 entertainment sales, I only had a cinema and a circus. The circus got me most of my sales and it's one of the cheapest entertainment buildings.
Thinking logically, the circus is more likely to attract family clientelle and the topless revue will probably turn them away. Do you have the topless revue next door to the circus?

Oh, and don't worry too much about the basketball player objective. It's not required to complete the level and will probably cost you a lot more than the reward you get.

Just to update further, the text for the objectives are coloured to one of 3 colours.
The 3 colours are:
Yellow - objective is compulsory
White - objective is non-compulsory
Grey - objective has finished (regardless of whether
it has been completed or failed)
In the forthcoming 1.1 update (coming soon), we've decided to add a small clock icon to the objective if applicable. This is to hilight the fact the objective has some form of time associated with it eg complete X number of sales by day 5.
With the time associated objectives, the progress bar may represent how much time is left and therefore increases whatever you do or it may actually be referring to a number of items such as sales. Further details on this should be available in the Information link to the right of the objective.
The explanation of the colours will go into a FAQ fairly soon aswell.

Done it!!! completed level 3, what i did was what dicey and ropes had advised, and that was i paused the game and built my $8000 enteratinment first, but then as the casino made more money i built more entertainments facilities. even had time to wander round the vegas city and admire the views!!!!.
I didn't get the basketball player either but after looking at my lot i took it it that it was his loss anyway.
Ropes and dicey your help was much appreciated and i'm well grateful guys thanx. Please stand by as i sruggle on the next level!!!!
jubbly the more attractive you make you make your casino the more punters you'll bring in and that gives you more cash to spend on entertainment. Good Luck Mate.
