You shouldn't edit path stuff right now..i.e. adding new path types.

As for objects, when you sell them i assume you are using patch 1.11? If not, you need this as this fixes the problem that you mention above.

As for other things, you could try fireworks (discussed on another thread), sounds and music (discussed in the general game faq)

I am using Patch 1.11, i did not have this problem before i editted the scripts, so i think i can put it down to the scripts.  I will over write the path files with the orignal ones to see if that works.

Could i ask why paths should'nt be editted?

Hi,
We didn't cater for people altering exterior path functionality. You can edit the current path information there but you cannot add new exterior path types right now.

Bear in mind we do recurse through some directories so make sure you completely delete a directory if you are still experiencing problems and then copy over the orginals again.

Don't forget any script changes you make will be reflected in a saved game, if at some point you decide to revert back to original scripts, those saved games may fail to work correctly. For example, if you are just changing prices, its not a problem, it's only when you begin to take items away i.e. remove the exterior bar and pretty much most of the game won't work as many levels require that object to exist.

When you edit some files i see something like this:

SourceTemplate[x]._Influences[INFLUENCE_SMELL]   = { 0,0, 0,0, 0,0 },

In brackets does it go by blocks, i am unsure of what it means, why two digits?

Think of the influence cast in terms of bands/circles..there are only ever 3 (for low,medium and high)

What you are showing there are the 3 bands (there are 2 numbers per band, the first number is the intensity from 0-3 and the second number in the pair is range that it takes in terms of gridcells)

So if you want something to cast a weak smell over a large radius and make it more intense near the edges...do something like:

SourceTemplate[x]._Influences[INFLUENCE_SMELL]   = { 1,6, 2,3, 3, 2}

This means from the centre of the object, the smell casts an amount of 1 smell 6 units around it, then it casts a smell of 2 for another 3 units and finally a smell of 3 for another 2 units of distance.

Hope that unwieldly explanation helps

Could thier be a script editting or map edditing software that you could bring out?

At the moment we can't release any tools for the game. It's simply a case of resources / time.
However, keep an eye out on some new downloads which i hope will be available this week or next week.

I have noticed that there is a cheat out but its a file that is loaded before you load the game, which stops time and gives you money.  I downloaded it awhile ago.

I installed it and loaded the game, i went it to the game and pressed what i wanted for more money and to freeze time, it did not work, i did look at the readme file and did what it said and it just kept throwing me out of the game!!! i have the latest patch for the game and i downloaded the right version of the cheat program but kept on kicking me out of the game, any one knows why ( i know its not up to Deepred to answer cos its not their program).

I just thought, why on earth in this game do u want to freeze time, you just need to press pause and you can still do the same, and in the games you need the time to win the game!!!

Thinking of getting more money, the best way without using a cheat program is to edit the scripts. Its better and safer for the game, everytime you load the game, the script always loads up with the game. 

Editting the scripts are alot safer thinking about it, because when you download the cheat program, how do u know that it does not contain a hidden virus ( i am not saying that it is a virus) But you never know that it is??? or a virus has attached it's self to the download.

It is upto you what you do tho. 

Just looking around the web and the VegasMIB pages about cheats, it only looks like the only cheats that are out, is that to change a few digits in the scripts.
