Hi

I have read through the other topics and i still can not solve why its not working!  I have installed it on my computer which is a 1.2Ghz, 512 DDR Ram, with a sis740 chipset on the motherboard which all the drivers are upto date and i still hae no luck.  Keeps coming up with CASINO HAS INCURRED AND ERROR, debug or close, it does'nt do anything when i press debug and closes when i press close.

One time when i installed it, it came up with Safedisc, then a message saying "please insert CD Rom" I have it in there but it won't see it.  I have 1 CDRW and a CD player installed, it won't work in both.

Can any one please help.

Pip

hi ya,

Its very strange for a game to do this, why on earth really does it need all uptodate drivers to get it to work, its stupid, i have even tried the patch, still a no go. If this happenes to alot to other people this company will go bust.  Cos i am thinking of taken mine back and getting my money back, its so frustrating, u have all the requirements to run the game and more and it does'nt want to know cos u might have an out of date driver or something else.  Why Should we pay £35 for a game not to work!!!!!. I'll give it a few more days till i'll take it back.

I have a laptop and everything is updated to the graphics and everything else and still no joy.

Pip

Sorry to hear about the issues and the frustration.

If you do have the latest video, audio and chipset drivers and have absolutely no probems with any other recent 3d games then i can only think of 2 things which are causing the problem right now.

First up, if you are using an integrated chipset such as the Sis740 chipset then you must check your AGP aperture settings in the bios. Ideally this shouldn't happen but we did notice during development some systems had this set completely wrong and as a result the game would have problems.
By changing it to what is recommended in the readme resolved the problems.

The patch 1.11 does not resolve any technical issues for setting up and running the game because up until now the only ones that have been problematic have been resolved by updating drivers.

The other issue that could be a problem would be to do with the enumeration of your video driver, the only way to resolve this is for you to PM me your email address. What i will have to do is send you a special .exe which will report what is going on when the game starts, you will then have to send me a specific file back and from that i should be able to resolve the issue for you. I am not in work until tomorrow so if you can bear with me i'll try and help out with the problem.

regards

Where you installed the game, there should be a file in the root called D3DEnum.

Its a text file which can be opened in notepad.

If its no problem, can you paste the contents in a reply here so i may have a look.

And finally when you say you have the latest drivers,

can you tell me

i) the version number/date of them
ii)the motherboard manufacturer

i assume you haven't got a graphics card, its an integrated graphics chipset?

regards

Hi - can I just add to this topic that I have had NO problem getting the game to run on my desktop.  Laptops aren't really designed to run games and so it is more likely that you get technical troubles running a game.  The speed of response on this forum support wise is very good and Ropes is doing all he can to get the game running for us.

I run other games on the laptop without a problem, the only other game that wouldn't run was Beach Life, it crashed after you played it for about 5 seconds with the mouse freexing up first.  I never did reslove that, but have played more recent games than that one on my laptop.

Hi pip, no problems and thanks for the info.

First up, no the D3DEnum.txt shouldn't be blank, that gives me some clues so i'll have a look and see about that.

I'll have a look around the web for details on the motherboard and see if there are updated drivers or problems with it.

Finally use this forum to private message me and send me your email as i may need to send you a debug .exe that i mentioned before to track down the problem further.

regards
